Meet our Head Chef, Soshan Perera, a culinary visionary whose journey from Korea to Melbourne is steeped in a passion for authentic flavours. Exploring authentic Korean flavours in his years in Korea, he never gave up his love for Sri Lankan spices and traditional Ceylonese flavours.

Inspired by the beachfront beauty of St Kilda, he saw the perfect location for his second venture: Pearl Island Restaurant and Bar. Soshan’s dedication to seafood and his mastery of Asian cuisine combined, make Pearl Island a culinary destination like no other in Melbourne.
